Sonia Akbarzadeh, 

M.A. in Chemical Engineering majoring in food industry with over 15 years of experience founded FIC in 2007.
Sonia utilizes the expertise that she has acquired by working in alignment with companies such as Pepperidge Farm, Campbell’s Soup, Yum International, Pita Gourmet, Furlani’s Food, Chudleigh’s, Sweet Source and Shandiz Natural Foods as well as several other reputable and brands who are at the forefront of the food industry. This experience has allowed her to accommodate the needs of the food industry in various ways and at a multitude of levels to ensure the safe and efficient production of high quality products. Thereafter, FIC team members who are well experienced and trained in food industry have been also devoted to providing the best solutions for the improvement of product Quality and Safety.

In Product and Process Development area, we have successfully developed many new products from recipes to plant productions and adjusted existing recipes and processes by systematic troubleshooting techniques to improve quality and increase shelf life. Because of our great passion for health and wellness our focus is to bring new ideas for healthier food options  to the spotlight for our clients.

To assure Food Safety, we are implementing HACCP Advantage Plus, GFSI Standard (BRC) and crisis management plan for food and packaging companies. Responded to the Health Department and CFIA inquiries on behalf of our clients and performed sanitation audits and eliminated the source of product contamination. We are able to find the source of contamination and plan to fight with bacteria such as Listeria, E-co, and etc.

To ensure our clients continuous improvement, we offer Technical Training packages to promote fundamental knowledge and awareness for companies. We have trained executive managers and plant employees on food safety, BRC and ingredient functionalities. With these customized trainings, companies are able to train their entire team conveniently at their location for a fraction of the cost. 

For food business starters, we offer a comprehensive Start-up Kit that  includes all the necessary elements in order to be successful in the food business.
